Exclusive: A Layered Look by Jane Basch
A LadyLUX exclusive “sneak peek” into Jane Basch’s unnamed and unreleased jewelry line for Summer 2010.
Jane Basch is known for her one-of-a-kind monogrammed jewelry. Look familiar? You may have seen her pieces on hit TV shows such as “How I Met Your Mother” and “The Starter Wife”. A favorite of celebs, from Demi Moore to Debra Messing, and a finalist in the 2009 JCK Jeweler’s Choice Awards, Basch’s jewelry definitely stands out from the crowd.
Her most recent collection, “Mono Gems” features a large monogram in gold or silver, held up by a beautiful pearl or stone-studded chain. However, Jane is most excited about her brand new line (that remains unnamed), which she plans to debut in two weeks. She was kind enough to give LadyLUX a sneak peek into her newly designed layered necklaces (see the gallery above).
The new line will still combine Jane’s subtlety and simplicity but take it up a notch with multiple necklace layers. Known for delicate monogrammed charms and artfully carved metal, this collection will put her detailed strands in the spotlight. About her new necklaces, Jane said, “The multi 4 strand piece gives an illusion of a complete neck full of jewels. It’s like you are wearing a whole shirt of jewelry.”
What paved the way for the new collection?
“It seemed like a natural fit to mix the stones with chains and create some fun, easy, fashionable pieces,” Jane said.
Some styles in the collection will feature her signature monogram thrown in among the strands, so lovers of her past lines won’t be distressed about the modern layered pieces.
