Carlos Falchi New LUX Designer for Target

Attention LUX-o-nomics Fashionistas, it seems a new internationally-acclaimed innovative handbag and accessory designer, Carlos Falchi, will be the next in line to fashion a Target limited-edition collection. This new line promises LUX-ury without the big ticket price!!

Traditionally known for his cutting-edge and beautifully crafted leather handbag designs, Falchi, promises this line will be infused with similar design features and master designer quality. Normally, a designer only found in Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus, this new partnership allows high-designer influences offered at guilt-free prices. Now this is Fashion LUX-ified!

The 13-item line will consist of faux snakeskin handbags in jewel tones such as plum and teal with contrasting shades of brown, black and gray. Some handbags will utilize collage or patchwork techniques. –via WWD.com

He is the eighth designer to be commissioned by the ‘Bullseye Brand’ to create a limited-edition collection—following in the shoes of Hayden-Harnett, Anya Hindmarch, Devi Kroell and Botkier. For those avid Target shoppers, this might be an addition to your already amazing finds!

According to Carlos Falchi, “For me, there is something magical about the creative process…I blend art and design to produce a dramatic and fresh take on the leather product,” he said. Although this collection does ask Falchi to replace his custom use of exotic skins, such as python, crocodile and snake, with something that mimics the design effect we do look forward to seeing the result of how he masterfully infuses his known design principles using faux-leather products!

The Falchi-Target fall collection will be available online and in stores starting October 11 through December 27th of this year only!! Perhaps, making for the perfect unique holiday gift, even if it is just a present for your self!
