The Fashionable Shop Their Hearts Out In San Francisco

Have you ever visited San Francisco? It’s a beautiful city filled with fashion savvy, socially conscious women.

San Franciscan fashion is a far cry from Los Angeleno style; these women have replaced small dogs and unstructured handbags with structured satchels (large enough to hold their Mac Airs) and luscious layers.

Want to take part in the fashionable events in the city by the Bay?

On November 21 and 22, THREAD will hold a holiday shopping extravaganza at Fort Mason Center. Part trade show, fashion show and sample sale, the Thread show offers everything an eco-conscious stylista could want.

The event will present 100-plus independent designers and artisans selling their wares. The show also has how-to style workshops, fashion industry seminars and a clothing swap. That’s so San Fran.

Featured Event: The Style Lounge

The Thread Show is taking a page from Estee Lauder‘s recent make-over strategy. Show attendees can get their hair and make up on-site; afterward, they can have professionally taken photos, shot, retouched and emailed to them. Did someone say “Hello Gorgeous” on that Facebook or Twitter profile?

The show has a $10 admission fee (talk about lux-o-nomics). If you RSVP by noon on Friday, it’s $8! If you’re around, make sure your tweet hashtag #THREADshowSF09 and we’ll have a LUX meetup.

You can follow The THREAD show on twitter @ThreadShows!

See you there!
