Finisterreuk Nominated as Fashion Finalist in the UK’s RSPCA Good Business Awards

Hip, surf-oriented clothing company, Finisterre, has gained some much needed recognition for the positive approach they’re taking on fashion! This is a company that was founded on the standards ‘to make the best technical apparel with minimal environmental impact.’ Incorporating green principles into active apparel about five years ago, at a time when being green was not a main focus.

Britain’s Royal Society Prevision of Cruelty of Animals (RSPCA) has just nominated this earth-conscious company for this year’s ‘Good Business Awards’ in the ‘Small Company Fashion’ category!

David Bowles, Head of External Affairs for the RSPCA said in the media release: “We have had a record quality and quantity of entries to this year’s fashion category - a clear indication that companies are responding to the shift away from disposable fashion and towards responsible consumerism. [...] These companies, who are striving to implement exceptional welfare standards, deserve our recognition as they set the standard for others to work towards.”

By incorporating recycled fabrics into their work, Finisterreuk has created a collection of women’s apparel that’s meant for the active LUX-fashonista, so be sure to check them out. From colorful eco-T’s to an assortment of waterproof biomimetic jackets, it’s all made for the eco-outdoor LUX at heart!

Know LUXies, this is the first company to ever incorporate the first ‘closed loop polyester recycling plan’ of its kind. So when you purchase Finisterreuk you’re supporting a business system that uses a program to ensure environmental, social and economic sustainability, animal welfare, and traceability. Now that’s what we call LUX!
