High-End Jeweler:  Doris Panos, Files Chapter 11

Doris Panos Designs, a high-end jewelry line, has become the latest victim of the economic condition and forced to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. She joins the likes of several other jewelry manufacturers sharing the same fate, such as Ultra Diamonds, Robbins Brothers, Fortunoff, and Whitehall Jewelers. Don’t consider Doris completely off the radar just yet, it seems that she fought tenaciously to save her actual inventory and might be looking to plan a come back. wink

As an independent designer for over 15 years, Doris Panos’ designs have been worn by Hollywood’s finest on the red carpet and showcased in several fashion spreads. Her distinguished collection is only found in top of the line stores such as Neiman Marcus and the like.

As a businesswoman, artisan, mother, and daughter, Doris Panos understands that modern American women experience the joy and strain of playing many different roles. And so, she creates designs that are as versatile as they are bold. –Style Hive

It seems that our nation’s economic health continues to fluctuate between hopeful and complete despair. And although, we here at LadyLUX know that with every storm there is a silver lining—however, from the perspective of these business owners, it is hard to see through the chaos and clutter of dark storms. We stay hopeful that bankruptcy continues to be the exception and not the rule.
