Join the ‘Gap’ Inspired Global Movement:  ‘Wear Your Art’ to Cure Aids

LUXies, what could better than wearing a T-shirt that stands for something?? Well, that’s exactly what Gap, Inc. is doing with their new Artist Edition T-shirt Collection launching this weekend!!

The ‘(PRODUCT) RED Artist Edition T-Shirt collection’ enlisted 12 artists to design specialty ‘pop-art’ Ts to support a cause worthy of our dollar! That’s right LUX Nation, 50% of all the profits will be gifted to the Global Fund organization to help eliminate AIDS in Africa!! Now this is what we call a fashion statement with a conscious!!

The featured artists range from the experienced to the up and coming including: James Jean, Geoff McFetridge, Non-Format by Kjell Ekhorn and Jon Forss, Deanne Cheuk, Keiko Itakura, Kari Moden, Nomoco, James Joyce, Stephen Kelleher, Stina Persson, David Hollier and Celia Calle.

To help kick off this new partnership, Gap will be featuring a live gallery next to their flagship store in San Francisco featuring 10 of the featured artists!! This interactive art exhibit opens July 25th and runs through August 10th.
