New In-Store ‘Fragrant’ Chanel Boutique in London

Selfridges in London has unveiled a newly designed Chanel counter made especially for your olfactory senses!!

Chanel has opened a 646-square foot space that features ‘ceramic fragrance blotters and an illuminated manuscript’ that tells the story of the brand’s heritage! Clever! The aim is to create a customized experience for Chanel-shoppers and offer a one-on-one consultation to find your ideal scent. What could be more LUX right?

This new design fits with Selfridge’s new beauty floor layout, offering more brand interaction and specialty areas, instead of a one-stop shop for everything. For instance, Chanel will open another concept counter made just for makeup, next and last month, Shu Uemura will open one of their awesome lash bars!

Though the U.K. retail space has taken a hit, it seems fragrance has grown. Selfridge has personally seen a double-digit spike in their perfume sales this summer.

All good news for Chanel and their new fragrant boutique!

What do you think LUX Nation? Would you prefer having specialty counters aimed at full service specialties?
