NEW Luxury Exclusive Site Launches in Japan

With Japan’s consumer trends shifting, and e-commerce becoming more acceptable, it seems there is a new site amongst the ranks aimed at being the ‘official partner on the web for quality brands.’

Glamour-sales.com is set to be the premiere site for LUX lifestyle products! This sight will feature a ‘brand-specific 48-hour sale’ for each of their offerings.

As you can see, they’re geared towards revolutionizing online sales by the approach they implement. Expect to see a range of products from Prada eyewear, LUX-hotel packages, Peugeot cars and much, much more with over 60 brands committed to thus far.

“I think it’s quite fun to try and change a bit the distribution in Japan,” Glamour-sales’ chief executive officer Guillaume Davin said on the sidelines of a presentation here Tuesday. “The plan is to develop [the site] for Japan, and then export it to Asia. But the first priority is to make it a success in Japan.”

Owned and managed by a group of French nationals, this website is sure to turn a few heads! Though, only to those who have been invited into this posh purchasing playground. This approach definitely makes it much more appealing to those that are enticed to make their own stamp on the world!

The good news is that Gilt Groupe Inc. launched a Japanese version of their site last year and already has 20 million members, so if this new Glamour-sales.com version is even remotely close to what they say it is, then success seems to be in their horizons!

What do you think LUX-fashionistas? Do ‘member-only’ sites peak your interest? Or, are you feeling a bit tired of them?
