Noble Naomi At It Again

Naomi Campbell is once again stepping up to the plate to help give back, bridging fashion and philanthropy. Campbell, who raised over $1 million for Hurricane Katrina victims in 2005 with her Fashion for Relief Initiative, will help do the same for the victims of the November Mumbai terrorist attacks. The show “Mai Mumbai” will be an international collaboration during the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai with clothing donated by designers from around the world. Not only will Naomi walk the ramp, she has solicited outside involvement asking friends in the industry to contribute to the show. Clothing from the likes of Dianne von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, YSL and Versace (to name a few) will be worn by Naomi herself and personalities and celebrities from Bollywood.

We here at LadyLUX believe that it is by pooling our resources and reaching out to help those in need, we are able to create great change in the world. We would love to hear your thoughts about the spirit of this event.

For more information on the show and Mumbai Lakme Fashion Week check out the Times of India article.
