Iconic brand Halston Heritage has just signed Sarah Jessica Parker as a new designer! It seems ‘Mrs. Big’ will be taking her fashion status from the big screen to your closet very soon!

Best known for her role as ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ in Sex and the City, this move is quite complementary to the fashion icon role she is so used to playing. However, it’ll be quite interesting to see her translate this fashion knowledge to actually designing ready-wear clothing. Sporting a ‘Halston’ look in the just released movie trailer, it definitely gives weight to the notion that this move just might’ve been in the making for quite some time.

Her focus will be with Halston’s new ‘Heritage Collection’ that’s aimed to launch this spring. We brought it to you back in the summer and discussed how this new line was meant to combine Halston’s timeless pieces with updated techniques. Not to mention, the price point is much more reasonable and targets the ‘Sex and the City’ fashionistas!

As we know, Halston Heritage has had quite an uphill battle in making a presence in the market. With the newly appointed Marios Schwab at the helm and Sarah Jessica Parker on the team, this might be the making of an ideal partnership. Especially for all of us ‘Carrie’ fans who adore her style and fashion-forward appeal.

So, with Sex and the City 2 set to release in May and this new line in the works, it seems Sarah Jessica Parker will have her hands full! Not to mention, there’s even talk that this role as designer could be moved to ‘creative director;’ so I guess we’ll all have to wait and see what’s to come.
