Versace Pre-Fall 2010

Much like real estate, the stock market, or a caffeine high, what goes up must come down. After all, everything has its cycles. After several seasons of black, leather, studs, chains, fur and all that is rock ‘n’ roll, the look is starting to look a bit dusted. Yes, even rockstars have to retired.

Now, enter Versace’s 2010 Pre-Fall collection for a breath of fresh air. Think clean silhouettes in living color. Donatella Versace went with a rich blue as a focal color and splashed oranges, reds, yellows, and greens for pop color and whimsical prints. The collection is composed of sexy dresses, belted blazers, liquid leggings, textured trench coats, and a touch of denim and fur. The body con dress loses its bandages and gains long sleeves, subtle trim details, exposed zippers and a new fun print material. The goddess dress gets a little boost from bustiers, an asymmetrical hemline and is paired with over-the-ankle booties for a modern look.

Versace moves the trend forward into an era of techno color and easy minimal styling that anyone can appreciate.
